　　Cemal, a lonely hearse driver, has to transport the body of a young woman who has been murdered to her parents' home. During the trip, however, the body comes to life and when he sees her, Cemal falls in love with the undead woman. 　　影片讲述了一个从小被抛弃于森林，依照动物生存模式存活下来的女人。被一个男人掳掠回家并且受尽欺凌。这家人中，男主人极度大男子主义，仇视女人。小儿子因为受父亲教导也对女人极不尊敬。懦弱并逆来顺受的母亲，被父亲侮辱而怀孕的大女儿，以及不谙世事的小女儿。故事的最后，大女儿在极度绝望和恐惧的支配下放了野女人，野女人杀了她的父母和弟弟，带走了她的妹妹。 　　本片以不太恐怖的氛围，却深刻的暗喻了一个至今仍然存在的严重的社会现象，男人应该如何看待女人，女人应该如何正确扮演家庭中的角色。

李琪和母亲相依为命但关系紧绷，高考结束后，她在鱼档帮母亲照顾生意。在同学小薇的生日聚会上，李琪在对方挑衅下摔坏了小薇的手机，面对索赔危机，李琪决定独自解决。高考成绩出来了，远非母亲想象的那般理想，李琪却不愿听从安排去复读，令母女关系再度蒙上阴影……导演张旭煜的短片作品曾入围二十余个国内外电影节展，这部长片首作则是“青葱计划”五强优胜项目。导演在片中巧妙运用多种意象隐喻角色心理，成长的隐痛如鲠在喉，而资深话剧演员王一楠和新生代演员黄婧仪也以充满张力的互动精准诠释了母女之间爱恨交加的亲子关系。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
