民国年间，一个叫做孤山村的山庄里，姚家小姐姚秀被白皮子迷惑成妖，因而导致全家被害的离奇惨案。多年后，化名路小安的姚秀重返孤山村，查找当年全家被害的原因。最终巧施妙计找出真凶，并打破了白皮子能够附身控制人的假象，揭露了一切封建迷信都是谣言传说，倡导了破除迷信，崇尚科学，树立正确的世界观，坚信唯物主义思想。
