告别武器

 亨利（加里·库柏 Gary Cooper 饰）是一位热血沸腾的青年，战争爆发了，他自愿前往意大利，成为了一名救护车驾驶员。在意大利，亨利结识了名为凯瑟琳（海伦·海丝 Helen Hayes 饰）的美丽护士，之后，亨利因为受伤被送进了米兰医院，在那里，他和凯瑟琳重逢了。住院期间，亨利和凯瑟琳坠入了情网，凯瑟琳的腹中亦怀上了亨利的骨肉。伤愈之后，亨利回到了战场，却发现我军的士气大跌，处处弥漫着惨淡的气氛。上司开始大量处决涉嫌逃跑的士兵，亨利亦难以幸免，他侥幸逃脱了自己人的枪子，他决定找到凯瑟琳，两人逃离战场，去过他们与世无争的日子。然而，意大利警察的追捕紧随其后，两人踏上了逃亡的旅途。

攻克柏林

　　Mikheil Chiaureli是斯大林的御用导演，《攻克柏林》长达近五个小时，分上下两部，处处着重突出最高统帅的高瞻远瞩。影片结尾，斯大林乘飞机抵达陷落的柏林，接受苏军的欢呼。其实这是“艺术虚构”。和《斯大林格勒战役》一样，这场实际主要由朱可夫将军指挥的战役，影片中丝毫没有他的影子。当时朱可夫已经因为功高震主，被罗织罪名，发配到乌拉尔军区去了，这是1946年的事。这部1949年的电影很自然地就将朱可夫的功劳“艺术虚构”到伟大领袖的头上了。　　因为这部影片，导演连续获得了两次国家奖金，包括1950年的斯大林奖金。中国观众熟悉的《难忘的1919》（1952）也是出自这位导演的手笔。值得一提的是，这两部影片都是由苏联作曲家肖斯塔科维奇谱曲的。
