加拿大小姐（CaroleLaure饰）在贞操带基金会主办的世界小姐大赛中胜出，得以同基金会主席身价五百亿美元的富翁儿子成婚，新婚当晚，加拿大小姐惊见对方的阳具闪耀着金属的色泽。与此同时，一艘名为幸存者的船在河面摇曳，一位英俊水手被美艳的船长安娜（AnnaPrucnal饰）吸引，沿河岸追逐；加拿大小姐欲终止婚姻，反被富翁的母亲交给一名健硕黑人处理，黑人把加拿大小姐邮寄到了埃菲尔铁塔下。在那里，加拿大小姐遇到了一位西班牙歌手，两人发生了关系之后却一时无法分离；水手终于登上了安娜的船，安娜称他为波坦金号的难民，船上有数不清的糖，安娜与水手纵情享受，又引诱了一些儿童上船；加拿大小姐被一群嬉皮士收留，他们疯狂的行为令加拿大小姐失魂；最终安娜杀死了水手，被警察带走。加拿大小姐则拍摄了一则色情巧克力广告。

However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
