　　宇航员雅各布（亚当·桑德勒 Adam Sandler 饰）独自前往太阳系边缘执行科研任务，六个月后，他回到地球发现婚姻已经触礁。而唯一能帮助他挽回妻子兰卡（凯瑞·穆里根 Carey Mulligan 饰）的，竟然是潜伏在飞船内来自时间之初的神秘生物哈努什（保罗·达诺 Paul Dano 配音）。
